Software Tester

This time, CPL are on the hunt for a Software Tester to join our fast growing organisation. Reporting directly to the Lead Tester, you will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment at CPL Online. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs by conducting manual tests and executing test scripts. The Software Tester is to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose, with any issues raised being flagged in bug tracking software and monitored until resolution.

The objectives of the Software Tester are:

• To report bugs and errors to the development teams for all CPL Online products.
• Ensure all products are tested to the highest standard possible.
• Execute test cases and analyze results.
• Provide assistance to developers to implement any of the amendments identified.
• Help troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain good working relationships with other departments.
• All other reasonable duties as required.

To be a good Software Tester, you will need:

• Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role
• Experience of project management and QA methodology
• Experience/Knowledge of Bug Tracking Systems
• Experience of test case creation and execution and regression testing
• Good time management skills and experience of working to tight deadlines
• A keen eye for detail and excellent written and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills

 

Details you need to know:

SALARY: £15,000 - £17,000 p/a dependent upon experience, plus private healthcare

CONTRACT TYPE: permanent upon successful completion of probation period      

HOURS: 9.00am – 5.30pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch break
